As current Mayor Pro Tem, former Mayor, and Councilmember since 2000, I have been committed to enhancing the qualities that make Walnut Creek a special place. I have worked hard to gain broad based community support, while leading the efforts to improve our facilities, services and quality of life. However, there is more work to be done, so I again place my name on the ballot for the City Council to continue my commitment to build a strong future for our great City.
My goal is to lead our community in creating a collective vision for Walnut Creek through innovative ideas, positive solutions and courageous decisions. I have demonstrated these characteristics during my tenure and pledge to continue with the same enthusiasm, courage and candor.
My number one priority is leading the development and implementation of revised financial strategies that will sustain our fiscal stability and high level of public service.
High priorities also include the development of a comprehensive Capital Investment Program for our transportation, parking, civic buildings, parks and open space facilities, and additional infrastructure needs. I will work to enhance our arts and leisure programs, promote our vibrant Downtown and maintain public safety to preserve our high quality of life.
As your elected Councilmember and small business owner, I possess qualifications, experience, and dedication; traits which will be critical as we collectively develop the blueprint to create a sustainable future for all of Walnut Creek.
I have provided new perspectives and ideas, increased fiscal awareness and brought a caring, personal connection to leadership of our community. As we strive to maintain a fiscally stable, safe and vibrant Walnut Creek, I welcome the challenges that await us and pledge my integrity and honesty towards continued success for our great City.
